After having a discussion with my friends and spending a good couple hours looking at the most ridiculous flops in the NBA, I have been inspired to give you the top five flops of all time; and by “all time”, I really mean “recent times” since YouTube only goes so far back. Now lets take a look at some of the greatest flops in NBA history.
Baron "B-Diddy" Davis
I remember when this one happened they talked about it for three days on all the ESPN shows. This flop is so epic they should retire BD’s number in Golden State for achieving the ultimate level of trickery. You gotta have some giant cojones to try to pull this one off. I mean, you fell down to a guy standing out of bounds.
Chris "CP360" Paul
They call him CP3 because its a cool nickname that fits his name and number. Some people call him CP360 because of his trademark spin move; no, im not talking about an offensive spin move, but a move he uses whenever someone makes contact with him ending with him on the ground. Its so bad I guess you could call it “offensive” in a different sense.
Robert "Big Shot Bob" Horry
Despite the fact that Robert Horry is a Laker Legend, I'm going to have put my bias aside and rag on him for this one. He's bouncing off people like he's Manu Ginobili! You can do this when you're the size of Earl Boykins or Nate Robinson, but not when you're a grown man. Come on Fresh Prince, have you no shame?
Lebron "Crabwalk" James
When I first saw this replay i thought he actually got clipped or something. Then they showed it at a different angle and thought to myself, “What the heck makes someone even try to do this?” Not a single person near you and you act like you got hit; absolutely no contact. Chosen One indeed.
Dwayne "D-Whistle" Wade
Everyone used to say his spin move was the most unstoppable go-to move in the league. Well, sometimes its not wade who makes the move unstoppable. dude tripped over himself and they called the foul on the closest guy to him. Oh yeah, even if he does pull off the spin move (which he usually does), that move is still a travel.
Please keep in mind I do not dislike any of these players, in fact, I like all of these players and Baron Davis is actually one of my favorites. So please don’t send me any “Oh my God why do you hate this player” emails. If you guys feel like you have some better flops, Let me know so I can make a “The Most Shameful Flops in NBA History II.” Oh yeah, just a random thought: would Ginobili and Raja Bell fly in opposite directions if they ran into each other?
