Review of N64 Smash Characters

Super Smash Brothers for the N64 is a staple in today's society. I would review the characters in the other Smash games, but there are way too many characters in those. This article is certainly worth your time. Just kidding. Anyway, in no particular order, here are the characters.

Luigi
Luigi is kind of like Ken in Street Fighter except he sucks. They gave him a Shin Shoryuken just to make him better but its not really any better than the headbutt smash attack.

Mario
I prefer Mario much more than Luigi because he doesnt fly off the screen at 50% damage. Its also really fun to do Mario's uppercut annd spincycle because those are quite possibly the two most annoying moves in the game.

Donkey Kong
DK is a giant tank who's almost impossible to kill in the hands of a great player. His donkey helicopter has a lot of priority so its always fun to spam that move. Everyone seems to think its clever to grab someone and walk off the stage at some point when they first play Smash Bros.

Link
Slow smash moves and terrible recovery. With link, you should avoid players and CPUs at all costs unless you think you're the man. Maybe if you put on the white fairy-boy outfit aka "Holy Link," the gods will save you.

Samus
The only fun I've ever had with Samus is having four Samusii shooting full charges at each other. Why the hell does she move in slow motion?

Captain Falcon
Falcon is by far my worst character. The only thing falcon is good for is having Kirby suck him up, steal his power and falcon punching his butt back to F-Zero where he belongs.

Ness
If there ever was a cheap move in this game, it is Ness's toss. He can kills someone using the toss at like 60%. How fair is that? Oh well, it still takes a lot of skill to win with Ness without the toss because everything else he has sucks. There's something extremely gratifying about PK-Thundering yourself into someone.


Yoshi
Best character in the game. Flutter kick for 60%? I'll take it! Not only is the flutter kick awesome but so is hitting people with the egg projectile (especially when you're falling to your doom).

Kirby
Overpowered. Kirby is an unstoppable force. His drill kick is also a spike. He can fly and do that sword thing to pretty much recover from anything. Whenever I feel like dominating, I go kirby.

Fox
Offensive shield is a great way to kill someone. No, not because its effective, but because you can gloat for owning someone with a crappy move. Fox is also good at juggling, but who cares?

Pikachu
I usually dont play as Pikachu because i prefer his other pokemon counterpart. I'm not really a big fan of his special moves and smash attaacks. i know all the pros use him, but i'm not pro, I'm better.


Jigglypuff
Second best character in the game. Keep in mind when I say best, I really mean favorite. Sir Jiggles has the drill kick/rest attack combo that is almost unstoppable. The pound attack is also really awesome. Pound vs. Falcon Punch, who wins?

That was my totally unbiased opinion of all the characters in the game. If you have a problem with it, take it up with someone else because this game is outdated and irrelevent nowadays anyway.
